The Amicus Curiae Legal Aid Centre has officially opened its doors, marking a significant step forward in the mission to make justice more accessible for all. The launch was commemorated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, symbolising the Centre’s commitment to supporting underserved communities through legal assistance and advocacy.

 

Gracing the event were several distinguished guests, including Mr. Gurbinder Singh Gill, Head of Chambers at Messrs Manjit Singh Sachdev, Mohammad Radzi & Partners (Johor Bahru); Ms. Chen Qin Zi, Chairlady of the Legal Aid Sub-Committee of Amicus Curiae; Mr. Goh Teck Kuan, Founder of Foodbank Ji Shan; Ms. Wong Foong Yee, representative from the Iskandar Puteri City Council; and Tuan Fikri, representing the Royal Malaysia Police.

 

Their presence underscores the collaborative spirit behind this initiative, bringing together legal professionals, civil society, and public institutions in pursuit of a shared goal of empowering individuals through access to justice.
